Two years of relevant experience working with young children and 12 college credit hours of Early Childhood Education/Child Development or CDA (Child Development Associate Credential).
Preferred Education and ExperienceThree plus years of experience providing preschool and education; knowledge of preschool age development; Child Development Associate credentials; knowledge of NAEYC accreditation criteria and/or HighScope teaching approach.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with educational activities in an appropriately designed preschool setting; assist with planning and implementing child centered learning experiences in a team taught, developmentally appropriate preschool with hearing impaired children; participate in mainstreaming activities with special populations as designated; provide informational feedback to parents as requested; other duties as assigned.Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional InformationProvide care and developmentally appropriate experiences for preschool age children; maintain a safe and appropriate learning environment; work collaboratively with team members in planning and implementing activities; document observations of individual child development; provide daily verbal and written communication to parents.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
