Under the supervision of the Child Care Director, the Teacher is responsible for care and supervision of children and their assigned age group and is responsible for the supervision of the Assistant Teacher and /or Aide assigned to the classroom. The teacher will lead, plan and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality. This is a full time (80 hour per pay period), M-F, benefit eligible ( paid time off, medical, dental, flex spending, tuition reimbursement monies, matching retirement) position Employee Benefits | Ebenezer Senior Living (ebenezercares.org)Responsibilities/Job Description: Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum.
  • Develop and implementing weekly lesson plans
  • Assessing each child's development and administer Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year
  • Maintain a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Communicate with parents on child development issues, policies and other concerns related to their children
  • Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff and families
  • Participates in program areas such as intergenerational activities
  • Supervise heath, safety and overall wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or CDA
1-2 years’ experience working with young children Must be able to lift 40lbs.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
3+ years’ experience working with young children Must be able to lift 40lbs.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification
