The Child and Family Therapist is an integral part of the service team providing psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive collateral services to youth and families in their school or community setting.

Job Purpose:
The School Based Mental Health team provides strength based, trauma informed community-based services, in the home or school. The Child and Family Therapist is an integral part of the service team providing psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive collateral services to youth and families in their school or community setting.
Duties:
- Provide community-based individual and family therapy to children in charter school and Boys and Girls Club (BGC) site in multiple locations in Milwaukee
- Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the client, his/her parent(s) or caregiver
- Effectively support clients and families through therapeutic relationships
- Collaborate and support with BGC site leaders and staff
- Eligible for training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and other advanced evidenced based treatment modalities
Qualifications:
- Master’s level LCSW , LPC, or equivalent preferred LPC-IT or APSW may be considered if within 3 months of full licensure (supervision of clinical hours provided)
- Experience providing individual, child, group or family therapy in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
Position Details:
- Full-Time – with reduced hours in the summer months
- Flexible schedule
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle and meet agency auto insurance requirements
- Reports directly to Clinical Supervisor
- Reimbursement for mileage
- Bilingual stipends
- Newly renovated office space
- Primarily placed with the Boys and Girls Club
- Pay grade 4: $43,711 - $72,852
