Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the fiscal functions of Comprehensive Energy Solutions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Hands-on to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
- Participate in the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Leadership presence among all employees
- Strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
- Continual improvements of the budget through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
- Review of financial statements, financial information of customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other businesses with which the company conducts business.
- Enhance cash position by monitoring A/P, A/R and collections. Work directly with staff to collect all past due receivables and retainage as soon as contractually allowed.
- Establishment of tax policies, tax planning, and oversight of preparation of all corporate tax filings.
- Provide mentorship to Accounting Manager and other staff to assure successful individual development in support of business's long-term goals.
Qualifications:
- C.P A.
- Chief Financial Officer level record of performance.
- 10+ years of financial management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization. Construction Industry Preferred
- Superior verbal and written skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Demonstrates ability to develop relationships.
