Chemist

Piper Companies is looking for a Scientist III to assist Technical Support to ensure compliance within Laboratories for a Pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Lansdale, PA area.

Responsibilities for the Scientist III include:

• Experience Pharmaceutical Laboratory Operations
• Must be familiar and have experience with laboratory instrument selection, installation (IQ/OQ) and qualification (PQ)
• Experience supporting laboratory investigations from beginning to end including, root cause identification and the implementation of CAPAs, and authoring the final investigation
• Hands-on experience with laboratory GMP instruments (i.e. AA, HPLC (waters), Autotitrators, NIR, ICP, FT-IR, particle counter, Gas analyzer)
• Experience with compendial method verification

Qualifications for the Scientist III include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry with minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing GMP environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and independently.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated self-starter with capability to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
• Proven analytical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to apply key concepts.
• Speaks with courage and candor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation for the Scientist III include:

• Year-long consulting assignment
• Pay rate commensurate with experience
