National Instruments is seeking an experienced Partner Marketing leader to join our fast-paced global B2B Marketing organization in the Austin Texas office.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker who will develop the global strategy and priorities for the Partner Marketing focus areas, shift seamlessly to oversee and drive agile tactical execution with a startup mindset, and ultimately be accountable for achieving partner outcomes and success measures.
This Partner Marketing Specialist will be responsible for enabling NI’s global partners to effectively market NI’s products, services, systems, certified solutions, and offerings. Primary responsibilities also include co-branded outreach activities to jointly promote NI and Partner solutions and capabilities, including on ni.com. The leader will champion NI Partners within the Marketing organization and work with NI’s Partner Strategy team, being jointly responsible for the success of NI’s Partners.
Responsibilities include:
Partner Enablement – Capture NI Partners’ mind share and enable them to be effective in marketing and selling NI’s products, services, systems, certified solutions, and offerings.
- Lead the creation and execution of partner marketing collateral/resources (ex: Partner Playbooks, co-branded toolkits, and solution briefs) and training programs to enable NI Partners to market and sell NI products, services, systems, certified solutions, and offerings
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to design and deliver global sales and marketing training programs to onboard distributors, resellers, and system integration partners; this will complement technical training from R&D and Support orgs
- Partner with NI’s Business Units to create industry-specific training resources
- Ongoing engagement with NI’s Partner Strategy team to ensure the dissemination of knowledge around NI’s latest innovations in automated test & measurement
Joint Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning – Plan and support the execution of content strategy and programs to promote specific Partner capabilities and drive adoption for NI-certified solutions in line with NI’s partner treatment strategy (the Gives and Gets between NI and Partner)
- Prioritize and create messaging, target audiences and campaign recommendations, partnering with Marketing (Demand Strategy, High Touch Demand; Content Strategy) and Partner Strategy teams to implement in line with NI’s strategic goals
- Collaborate with NI’s Field Marketing to ensure that this is in conjunction with the rest of Marketing activities (ex: paid media, email marketing) to drive specific outcomes for NI Sales and Partners, consistent with the overall goals, messaging, target audiences and campaigns
- Team up with eCommerce and web/content teams to promote select NI partners’ capabilities and solutions, evolve that into a lead gen engine for NI and our Partners
NI.com/Digital Presence – Plan and support the execution of how NI Partners will be represented and promoted on ni.com properties including joint landing pages, purchase path presence and hosted Partner technical and marketing content.
- Support the creation and evolution of NI Partner Directory to help NI customers easily find and engage with partners by geo, capability, and solution areas
- Ensure that the ni.com purchase paths (ex: /shop, CPQ) have a Partner presence to help customers fulfill their online purchase needs via distributors and resellers
- Elevate and promote select Partner capabilities and solution paths for NI’s products and BU offerings
Cross-functional Effectiveness - Collaborate with Marketing and cross functional leaders to ensure that NI Partners are successful and engaged with NI.
- Ensure partner marketing activities are clearly prioritized against the NI Partner Strategy team’s strategic goals, including financial targets and accountability measures
- Develop a dashboard of key metrics to define the team’s accountability, raise awareness and include as part of the CMO’s dashboard
- Collaborate with Brand and Field Marketing to support ongoing Partner communications and outreach activities (ex: newsletters, joint live events)
- Coordinate budget strategy and manage budget allocation/reconciliation process for the team
Qualifications
- Senior marketing professional with 10+ years of experience in Marketing and partnerships
- Senior marketing professional with 5+ years of experience in Channel Marketing, Partner Marketing/Distribution Marketing
- Demonstrated success building partner ecosystems and developing partnerships to deliver business outcomes as part of a fast-paced global B2B organization
- Agile with a bias for action; adept at moving and aligning organizations, leading by influence across all levels of the organization
- Dynamic executive presence, comfort and depth of experience engaging with executive leadership in Sales and Marketing
- Ability to balance being strategic while driving very tactical execution to deliver outcomes
- Highly self-motivated, strong organization skills, attention to details, and ability to autonomously prioritize multiple requests from various stakeholders
- Ability to build strong working relationships, influencing and collaborating with Marketing functions, Partner Strategy, BUs and other stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Education – MS/BS degree required, preferably within Marketing. MBA is a plus.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Teams. Experience with SFDC and MarTech a plus.
