Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Penor & Associates CPAs PC CPAs is seeking a Certified Public Accountant who specializes in financial statement preparation and tax preparation to join our accounting firm.
You should be able to work in a team environment and independently with equal ease. The right candidate must have good communication skills and have the confidence and knowledge to answer GAAP and tax related questions.
Experience/Skills required:
- Experience preparing financial statements including reviews and compilations
- Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns prepared by others is a plus
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals and small businesses. Experience with UltraTax software is a plus.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Able to operate in a paperless workplace with a proficient working knowledge of computers.
- Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting software, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, QuickBooks desktop and/or QuickBooks Online.
Responsibilities:
- Interaction with clients including meetings, email and phone contact.
- Review financial records for tax preparation and planning purposes.
- Request missing information from clients to ensure accurate completion of tax returns and/or financial statements.
- Research tax related questions and issues.
- Working with team members
Compensation:
- Competitive salary is negotiable depending on candidate's experience, licenses, and/or certifications. Additionally, bonus’ are paid based on performance.

This position can be on-site or remote. If the professional chooses to be on site there is a sizeable office available. Remote employees will be supplied with a PC and related software. Our firm accommodates both work environments equally.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
