Certified Medical Assistant

Lakeside Endocrine Associates is seeking a PART TIME Certified Medical Assistant for our practice in Daytona Beach, FL. Working hours are Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (incl. a lunch break).

This position consists of multiple duties: Facilitate prescription refills within the parameters established by the physician; perform patient intake for telemedicine appointments; perform patient intake for office visits with providers.

The successful candidate will room patients, obtain vitals, patient history and reason for seeking care and enter these values into the Electronic Medical Records, assist patients who connect to the audio/video telemedicine platform, perform basic triage per specific office protocols, and follow prescription refill procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; CMA certificate required.
2 years as a medical assistant in an outpatient environment.
--Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
--Knowledge of computer systems and type at least 40 WPM.
--Knowledge of health insurance industry practices and/or medical billing procedures.
--Experience with athenaHealth EHR preferred
--2 letters of recommendation
