Role summary

Under the supervision of the Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for facilitating development of multimedia applications (eReader, eMenu, eShopping, etc.), backend system for our Air Connect Go solution, as well as games for In Flight Entertainment systems. The position requires the developer to work closely with other development and integration team members in an open minded environment.

Location: Santa Ana, CA.

Remote Options: This is role is hybrid.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Analyze project specifications and provide suggestions relevant to the project.
• Work on coding of new products, tools, framework or maintenance on existing applications and games.
• Solve problems – alone or in a team – due to technical limitations for certain platforms.
• Capability to work under pressure and effectively meet deadlines.
• Carry out preliminary tests for games and applications.
• Make necessary adjustments following recommendations from the integration team as part of the development cycle.
• Update documentation throughout development.
• Clearly communicating updates and concerns.
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the game/application designs to manage upkeep of current software.

What We’re Looking For

• College or university degree in computer science;
• At least 2 years of C++ or object-oriented programming experience required;
• At least 2 years of experience in Python (3.x is an asset)?
• Experience with Windows and Linux development;
• Experience using RESTful/JSON API development;
• Understanding of Android development life cycle is an asset;
• Familiarity with agile software tools such as JIRA is an asset;
• Basic experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP) is an asset;
• Experience in Linux system administration is an asset is an asset;
