Central Credit Underwriter I

As a Central Credit Underwriter I with Frost, you will be responsible for approving and declining consumer credit requests with underwriting authority of less than $250,000. Responsibilities will include mentoring, training, and coaching bankers; acting as the department liaison; and performing administrative functions, including preliminary underwriting work on requests outside of lending authority. The candidate will approve, decline, or make recommendation for alternative financing within established loan authority.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand cash flow, financial statements, and leverage ratios
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Preferred:

• Previous commercial/consumer underwriting experience
