Job Description
1. Ensures excellent customer service through personal contact, resolution of customer complaints and delivery of services.

2. Meets annual objectives as outlined in the survival guide.

3. Manages all personnel matters: Recruits, Hires, Trains, Promotes, Counsels, Dismisses Associates.

4. Ensures Center compliance with labor laws: OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices, etc.

5. Ensures safety of associates by safety training, enforcement of safe handling and compliance with all safety related policies.

6. Schedules staff for work assignments in accordance with policy and law, allowing ample staff to provide outstanding service while maintaining budget.

7. Provides performance appraisals for Center Associates on a timely basis.

8. Responsible for cash management including accepting cash, check and credit payments for resort services and for end-of-day cash drawer balance.

9. Monitors and responds to the needs of pet guests to ensure their safety, security, and comfort.

10. Administers medication or directly oversees that all medications to pet guests as required.

11. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies; Reorders, shops for and restocks as necessary.

12. Manages the computer reservation system.

13. Addresses all physical plant needs to maintain the safety and comfort for pet guests and Associates.

14. Prepares, utilizes and distributes required statistical and financial data and daily and periodic reports.

15. Ensures that bank deposits are made daily.

16. Promotes and markets Best Friends programs and services internally, and to the outside community at large.

17. Ensures that Pet Guest Report Pet Grooming Report and Report Cards are given to all customers.

18. Ensures all staff members are properly trained by utilizing the Associate Certification Program.

19. Trains and develops a management staff.

20. Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc. by complying and enforcing policies and procedures.

21. Treats customers, guests, visitors and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.

22. Completes all training programs and participates in essential meetings.

23. Assists other Associates as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years management experience. Previous experience with animals a plus. Associate Certification in supervisory PAA, ACT, CSR, LCSR, Groom Tech. Physical: Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds. Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently. Must be able to work on computer system and work on a multi-line telephone. Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. Personal: Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally. Ability to supervise, motivate and counsel employees. Must have strong communication skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must possess a love of animals. Displays a professional manner at all times.
