What you'll be challenged to do:
Responsible and in charge of all personnel assigned to the roadway or bridge project inspection. Duties include efficiently and effectively managing man power and maintaining staff levels to the satisfaction of the client. Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems. Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project. Responsible for the progress and final payments to the contractor throughout the construction project duration.

General responsibilities included:
- Manage complex highway projects to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Coordinate personnel with client.
- Work closely with the contractor to resolve any issues and keep the project moving.
- Management of Inspection staff.
- Oversee the pay outs to the contractor
- Developing engineers estimate for additional work by contractor.
- Assure material compliance with contract documents.
Qualifications: What you bring to our firm:
For non-degreed personnel; eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures. Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures. A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
- Direct construction engineering administration and inspection programs for conformance with client standards.
- Possess or able to obtain CTQP Final Estimates Level II, FDOT advanced MOT and attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination within in 6 months of hire date.
