CDL/A Driver Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Hold a current CDL license.

2. Possess a current DOT physical.

3. Three years experience in truck driving.

4. Experience in private sector employment related to the truck driving industry.

5. Teaching experience, preferred but not required.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Instruct the competency-based program of study for the truck driving trade that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.

2. Instruct students in freight handling, traffic theory, rules and regulations, equipment inspection, on-the-road operations of a truck and job search skills.

3. Prepare students to take the Commercial Driver’s License examination administered by an LCTI Certified 3rd Party Examiner.
