Job Description
As a member of the Menzies Aviation CDL Driver/Tanker team you will be responsible for providing indispensable transportation services to to support all of our customers. This individual must have the ability to safely operate a tractor trailer/tanker filled with liquid on a highway, obeying all traffic laws; and maintaining a valid driver’s license and stay in compliance with DOT Regulations and company policy.

Operational routes are sequential round-trips to transport fuel. Transportation to and from local fuel & repair shops will be necessary on occasion. The employee is subject to all weather conditions and should therefore dress appropriately. Operational end times are subject to variation in the event of fluctuating volume or transportation delays. The employee will regularly be required to maneuver a 53’ tractor-trailer into tight spaces at respective loading docks. The employee may regularly be required to observe or assist the load/unload of the trailer. The employee may regularly traverse over roller-deck and slave-pallet surfaces. The employee must be able to maintain awareness of surroundings always.

Must be able to pass recurrent DOT Medical Certification. While performing driving functions, the employee may be seated for several hours at a time. While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, and bend. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. The employee is regularly required to communicate and be mindful of a dead-line based work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safely operating tractor trailer/tanker
- Able to load Jet-A Fuel at terminal and offload at ASIG Facility and all customer facilities
- Reports status of daily operations to the supervisor and/or manager; complete daily truck sheets and vehicle inspections
- Complies with the location’s attendance/tardiness standards
- Meets Company and customer performance and grooming standards
- Knowledge and compliance with all safety procedures
- Comply with all safety procedures and report incidents immediately
- Performs other service functions as required
- Must possess and maintain valid CDL
- Must have Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements
- Must be able to obtain TWIC Card
- Must have 2-years work-related driving / over the road experience
- Able to lift and attach fuel hose to load fuel into tanker
- Able to lift and attach fuel hose to unload fuel from tanker into fuel facility
- Able to qualify and meet all Port Security Checks and Military Base Security Checks
- Able to meet various terminal qualifications at all Ports fuel is loaded
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs
- Legal US work status required
- Pass our stringent background check, pre-employment, and Drug & Audiogram screen
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
