Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning for quarter-end reporting cycles
- Lead centralized controller team functions such as allowance for loan losses, legal entity governance, analyzing external reporting implications of new business initiatives, fair value control, chart of account management, and resolving matters with corporate accounting policy
- Review SEC filings including the press release, 10K, 10Q, and investor presentations
- Perform timely review of monthly/quarterly submissions and validations related to SEC and regulatory reporting
- Effectively manage staff and provide honest and constructive feedback
- Oversee external reporting control environment related to external reporting including SOX and control testing
- Partner with others in CB (finance and non-finance), firmwide product controllers, and corporate functions on matters impacting external reporting
- Represent CB in firmwide initiatives
- Lead implementation efforts related to new accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic initiatives
- Manage audit engagements (external and internal) and inquiries
- Reveiw Reg W transactions and approve monthly reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or equivalent professional credential
- 6+ years accounting or auditing experience, with banking experience a plus
- Previous role at a large public accounting firm, financial institution, and/or external reporting role preferred
- Experience managing and developing others
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with of SAP, CDGL, BPC, Essbase, CRI/CRRT a plus
