Catering Server/High End Catering: $18-$20 Per Hour

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Catering Server; someone who enjoys providing our guests with the finest food and drink, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude at Hollins University. This is a Temporary, On-Call position. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

What you will do: *

• Set up tables, linens, chairs, and serving stations for full-service banquet events.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area to facilitate workflows and minimize safety hazards.
• Greet and welcome guests, and respond to specific requests in a courteous manner.
• Serve beverage and foods in the designated order and quickly remove dishes at end of each course, meal, or function; replenish beverages and check with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Collect used dishes and utensils from tables and return them to the dishwashing area
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Reset banquet as specified by Management to ensure readiness for other functions.

What you need: *

• Must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Exemptions available upon request
• Food Service/Serving experience (1-2 years preferred)
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties
• Ability to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to handle high volume customers
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable Transportation
