Title: Catering Supervisor
Reports to: National Catering Training Manager; dotted line to the General Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt
Supervises: n/a
Pay: $16-19/hour plus tips; starting hourly wage based on experience
Job Summary:
The Catering Supervisor supervises the total catering operations in one of our restaurants. This position includes duties such as catering order taking, driver dispatch, loading & delivery of orders, catering production and preparation. This position also requires working directly with our existing guests and conducting sales building activities. The expectation is for the Catering Supervisor to drive incremental sales through repeat business with great customer service as well as canvass for new business in the community.
Essential Functions:
- Consistently obtains a minimum of 15 catering orders per week for a total of a minimum of $3,000 in sales.
- Takes and modifies orders by phone and using the Back Office System.
- Resolves customer complaints and issues as reported using appropriate customer resolution matrix.
- Delivers catering orders as needed using own personal vehicle.
- Assists with the assembling and packaging of the food for catering orders.
- Executes Catering Sales Initiatives consistently and effectively:
- Consistently takes initiative, works independently, sets priorities, makes astute decisions, and meets deadlines.
- Finishes duties and projects as required and assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Returns all emails and voice mails next business day.
- Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards.
- Not a remote position, reports to assigned restaurant.
- Works additional hours as business dictates.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Daily menu drops.
- Daily Customer call backs.
- Community Event Coordination.
- Menu presentations and food tastings.
- Identifies sales leads and follows up to close deals.
- Canvasses businesses within a 5-mile radius to generate new sales.
- Works with the Catering Sales Managers and the call center agent assigned to the restaurant.

Work Environment:
- Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more.
- Move throughout the restaurant for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
- Move 50 lbs. for distances of up to 50 feet.
- Balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 feet.
- Understand and respond to team members’ and guests’ requests in a loud environment.
- Perform basic math.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., However there could be weekend days necessary depending on special events happening in the area.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 6 months experience using a PC and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 1 year of experience in catering.
- 1 year of experience working in the restaurant/hospitality or retail industry.
