Category Manager Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced, decisive, and innovative Category Manager to join our expanding operation.

In this role, you will oversee a team of category marketing specialist, category sales specialist and category service specialist., You will help to make important guiding decisions regarding existing products and product development, and work collaboratively with other teams to attain our shared corporate goals and maximize profitability. You should be a strong leader with excellent management skills who is able to motivate and innovate on a daily basis.
Category Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of direct reports
- Conduct assessments of existing products/services within a specific category and determine product mix requirements by location.
- Analyze the market to assess the potential for new products and services
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure participation in rental, sales and service programs
- Manage product in-take. Receive digital assets, set-up products in the system and work with Distribution Centers on delivery
- Oversee entire product line to ensure that there are no gaps
- Implement promotions and marketing activities to improve market share
- Set monthly and annual goals and assess past performance
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to establish effective price points
- Contribute to plans for advertising and promotions
- Review and renew existing vendor contracts
Category Manager Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum 4 years’ experience in product or category management

- Proven record of successful vendor relations and product assessment
- Ability to foresee market trends and stay ahead of the competition
- Excellent collaborative and team building skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid analytical skills
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
