Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Cataloger to contribute to our Ingram Library Technical Services team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.

The Cataloger performs a variety of bibliographic duties in an online environment, including original cataloging and bibliographic record upgrades for all formats. Cataloging is done according to national and international standards and practices as well as customer requirements. The cataloger functions as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness and quantity.

Required Qualifications:
- ALA-accredited MLS required
- 3 years original cataloging experience at the professional or paraprofessional level in a library or library vendor setting
- 1 year work experience using OCLC and an integrated library system
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an operations environment
- Knowledge of AACR2, LCSH, LC or Dewey classification schedules, and MARC21/OCLC formats
- Knowledge of integrated library catalog systems for example SirsiDynix, Polaris, III or ExLibris
Key Responsibilities:
- Catalogs materials in all formats in accordance with national and international standards and local requirements
- Serves as primary cataloging contact for Ingram Library Services customers on large cataloging accounts
- Suggests improvements to workflow and enhancements to policies and standards for new materials and cataloging accounts.
- Assists paraprofessionals with issues of quality and accuracy.
- Stays informed of changes to bibliographic standards and policies, including those specific to Ingram’s proprietary databases.
- Meets production and quality goals and adheres to deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Trains paraprofessional staff as needed.
