Job Description
The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.
Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region.

Job Purpose:Provides guests and staff with a clean and orderly environment Job Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) 1. Provides guests and staff with a clean and orderly gaming and work environment by stripping and sealing floors, cleaning and dusting vents, ceiling tiles, walls, columns, lights, and light fixtures following established procedures. - 30%2. Ensures the cleanliness of casino and office carpets by vacuuming daily, chemically pre-treating spots, and running the hot water deep-cleaning machine on a monthly basis following established procedures. - 30%3. Maintains the cleanliness of casino perimeter by pressure washing the valet canopy and columns, power washing under the valet canopy, outside walkways, and stairs, cleaning the outside fixtures, and emptying and cleaning outside trash receptacles following established procedures. - 30%4. Maintains the deep-cleaning machinery by draining, cleaning, and airing out machinery after each use. - 5%5. Assists the Environmental Services Shift Supervisor by reporting the amounts of chemicals, equipment and supplies used, minimizing waste of product, and reporting any defective or damaged machinery and/or equipment. - 5%Job Specifications:Education and Experience: Essential: · 2 years experience with floor and carpet care equipment · 2 years housekeeping and/or custodial experience Desirable: · High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or GED Skills and Knowledge: Essential: · Working knowledge of deep cleaning chemicals · Ability to use hot water dirt extractors · Ability to use power wash equipment · Ability to communicate effectively in the English language · Ability to read in the English language · Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time · Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. · Ability to reach, kneel and bend · Ability to appear for work on time · Ability to complete forms · Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests · Ability to maintain professionalism and composure · Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions · Ability to accept constructive criticism · Ability to work in a smoking environment · Ability to work graveyard shift Desirable: Supervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: None Indirect: None
