We are seeking cashier positions - customer service representatives for our convenience store and gas station. We maintain a safe and friendly environment in a nice neighborhood. Applicants need to be reliable, self-motivated, and customer service-oriented. A Gas Station/ Convenience store Cashier is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a gas station/ Store. They complete many duties to maintain the station, including attending to and assisting customers, accepting payments, stocking the shelves and maintaining station organization, preparing any hot food, and maintaining the cash drawer balance. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. You should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Advancement roles will be considered upon performance and availability. Full-Time shifts consideration is given upon their availability.

200.00 sign-on bonus paid in 50.00 installments every payroll after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• Work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarities with electronic equipment, like a cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• Able to handle a shift without supervision.
• Cash handling, paperwork, Reconciling and Balancing shifts.
• Lifting to 50lbs
• Must be 21 or older due to alcohol sales; ABC Cert required, and link will be sent for the state cert. (For sites that sell alcohol)
• Food Cert ( For sites that prepare food.)

Cashier responsibilities, not limited to the below-listed tasks/ responsibilities.

• Greet customers as they arrive at the gas station or the associated shop.
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers, Collect payments for dispensed gas, and tender change or receipts to customers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments, whether in cash or credit
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones; sell food, groceries, and vehicle-related items.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Assist customers in determining methods of dispensing gas by instructing them or helping them pump gas.
• Ascertain that all gas dispensers receipts are filled and in good working order at all times.
• Check for leaks or malfunctions, and ensure that any such incidents get reported timely to the supervisor.
• Ascertain the store items are adequately stocked and communicate low stock situations to supervisors.
• Clean and sanitize shop areas and ensure that no hazardous materials are present in or around the gas station.
• Prepare day-by-day reports.
• Sanitize parking areas, restrooms, and remove garbage.
• Assist customers in pumping gas or pump gas for them if required
