Loving Care is a home care agency that employs Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide clients personal care services in their homes. Our agency is a family run business serving the needs of Downeast and Southern Maine. Loving Care's goal is to provide superior care to enable our clients to remain in their home. We are hiring for full time and part time in multiple areas in Washington and Hancock County

Caregiver Role

The role of the Personal Support Specialist is to assist clients in their homes with personal care needs, light housekeeping, and errands. Personal care needs include assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, more. Errands include assisting with grocery shopping, doctors appointments and picking up prescriptions. A successful candidate will have a friendly, professional demeanor.

Requirements

• Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation
• 18 years or older, and must have High School Diploma or GED
• Satisfactory background check
• Experience preferred, but we will train the right individual for the position
• PSS, CNA (active or inactive), or DSP certifications welcome to apply!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Experience:

• caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
• relevant: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

License:

• PSS/CNA (Preferred)

Duties:

• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Transporting client to appointments
