Caregiver

We are seeking a Part-Time Caregiver (Teacher) to join our organization! The individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct/care for children (2 months-12 years of age) and engage in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and play time
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED (CDA Credential is preferred)
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, and stoop
• Currently have or able to obtain a TB Test within 3 days of starting day
• Currently certified or able to obtain their CPR Certification
• Currently have Food Handler certification or able to obtain one
• Pass a Criminal History background check
• Must be a able to work a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to drive a 13 passenger van to transport children to and from school and or home
