Job Description

Cornerstone Village South is an Assisted Living Facility with a Memory Care Unit. Our facility provides outstanding care and services with a dedicated staff of compassionate individuals whose goal is to serve the residents. Cornerstone Village South is part of a continuing care retirement community in Johnson City is currently recruiting for Caregivers.

The ESSENTIAL DUTIES will include, but not be limited to:

· Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.

· Ambulate and transfer resident utilizing assistive devised and body mechanics.

· Make beds and change linen per policy and as needed.

· Wash and fold laundry as needed.

· Assist and serve meals in dining room.

· Keep resident’s apartment clean, neat and personal belongings in orderly arrangement.

· Assist with review of the resident’s level of care needs.

· Participate in all training and in-service programs.

· Exhibit and performs proper hand-washing techniques.

· Maintain proper infection control procedures when handling clothing, linen and when assisting with bathing.

· Detect, correct and report to the supervisor any unsafe conditions, which may result in bodily injury or fire.

· Provide maximum resident care services to assure well-being of residents to greatest degree.

· Executive duties and responsibilities in conformance with established routine.

· Assist with execution of resident assessment.

· Assure physical comfort, safety and mental well being of residents. Assist with daily requirements and tasks in care of resident, such as transfer assistance, grooming, bathing, dressing, escorting of residents of other areas, responding to call lights.

· Possesses knowledge of procedures and techniques.

· Immediately answers call lights.

· Encourage and motivate resident to participate in activities.

· Check resident in the beginning of shift and before going off duty to be sure their needs have been met.

· Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.

· Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information.

· To know and comply with employee guidelines.

· To cooperate with all other department to endeavor to maintain that established relationship.

· To take temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure as directed by the supervisor.

· Care for residents that have incontinent episodes.

· Ensure resident privacy, respect and dignity.

· Transport resident’s to doctor’s appointments and remain with them if requested.

· Inform supervisor of any changes in resident’s condition, both mentally and physically.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $12.50 per hour
