Job Description
The Analyst will lead pricing for Cigna’s Care Solutions offerings, including developing appropriate client price points and understanding how they solutions impact projected claim costs. This position resides in the US Commercial Actuarial organization and will work frequently with the Solutions organization as well as Underwriting, Capacity Planning, and Finance. Care Solutions offerings include medical management, disease management, coaching, and other buy ups.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop breakeven expense and target fee assumptions for Care Solutions offerings
Set assumptions for medical claim cost impacts of solutions
Ensure appropriate methodology and assumptions in pricing modeling tools
Partner with Solutions to develop and price new and innovation solutions, and refine existing ones
Support pricing for nonstandard offerings, both cost and claim impact
Support underwriting and the pricing organization more broadly in understanding the financial impact of Care Solutions offerings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related area preferred
Preferred 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis or related quantitative area
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to utilize independent judgment and discretion to make recommendations
Ability to work well with a variety of matrix and business partners
Ownership mindset, with a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $66,800 - $111,400, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
