Job Description
This position requires a registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registered cardiac sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Performs various cardiac ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer.
Delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Performs 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, TEEs, and stress echocardiograms completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner.

Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists in oral and written form.

If trained by staff education and demonstrates competency; performs IV insertion and maintains IV competency skills on an annual basis. Administers image enhancing agent as ordered to optimize quality of echocardiogram.

Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of all testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner.

Maintains skills in all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur

Maintains CPR certification.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Associates, Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
1 year, Healthcare - Allied Health, Preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
RDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI required.
Valid Driver's License.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
