Originally a 90-bed hospital, we have grown to a 223 bed acute care facility offering quality, compassionate care with state-of-the-art services. Our services include inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services. What you will do in this role:
- Assists physicians with procedures, as necessary (i.e., right and left Heart Cath, temporary and permanent Pacemakers, Aortagrams, Cardioversions, Vena Cava Filter Placement, Pericardiocentesis, and Intra-aortic Balloon Placement, Peripheral Angioplasty, Peripheral Stent Placement, Intra-arterial/Venous Infusion Therapy).
- Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for Cardiovascular Care and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment
- Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. Will participate in peer review and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Assumes responsibility of charging department, as needed. Maintains clear and respectful communication with patient, family, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
Qualifications
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiological Technology
License by the Texas Department of Health & ARRT
One (1) year prior clinical experience required.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
