The Field Service Technician position will be responsible for responding to customer service calls within their territory, communicating with co-workers regarding preventative maintenance projects, and maintaining a safe, organized and clean work environment. This position frequently operates within a health care setting along with occasionally changing into scrubs for sterile environments.
Travel and Schedule Requirements: This is full time day shift position. The main office hours are Monday through Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM. You will be in charge of your own day-to-day schedule. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. This position consists of around 75% of driving.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to Customer’s requests for service maintenance.
- Performs typical repair and maintenance tasks on surgical equipment.
- Develops personal relationships with various healthcare department leaders.
- Documents all Preventative Maintenance projects.
- Consistently maintains a professional appearance while performing maintenance tasks.
- Travels within designated territory to respond to service maintenance calls.
- Documents and communicates related information regularly to management as needed.
- Enters important and necessary information into computer database, TigerPaw.
- Establish and maintain good business relations with customers and external vendors.
- Ensures that customers are satisfied with Company products and services.
- Maintain effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and with senior management.
- Responsible for the preservation and maintenance of company-issued vehicles.
Education/Experience:
- A high school diploma is required; an associate degree in business, marketing, or an equivalent combination of training and experiences preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a medical environment combined with prior technical job-related experience.
- More than 2 years of repairing equipment a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
- The ability to read and interpret complex and technical written manuals and instructions including basic mathematical skills. The ability to read wiring schematics and blue prints is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of medical equipment products a plus. Preferably able to troubleshoot and repair medical equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office.
- Frequently uses vehicles either owned or rented by the company.
- Daily use of a laptop/tablet, printer and/or scanner. Copy machines, genie lifts and other equipment needed for performing all aspects of the job.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, oral presentation skills.
- Able to maintain professional appearances.
- Excellent customer service abilities, well organized and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
