Camp Cormorant - Junior Camp Counselor

The YMCA Camp Cormorant offers more than just a job - we offer the chance to make a lasting difference for the youth in our community! As a Junior Counselor at Camp Cormorant, you will guide campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.

The Junior Camp Counselors are responsible for coordinating a variety of fun activities with campers. No day at camp is just a typical day! Beautiful Camp Cormorant is located on Big Cormorant Lake by Lake Park, Minnesota.

Junior Camp Counselor Benefits:

• $165+/week (Additional pay may be given for relevant experience and/or education)
• You will be paid a weekly rate of pay and paid bi-weekly
• Free room and board at the camp - you will need to live at camp

2022 Camp Schedule:

*Minimum availability of 4 sessions required, all sessions are preferred*

• Training Week: May 31st - June 3rd
• Week 1: June 5th -10th
• Week 2: June 12th - 17th
• Week 3: OFF
• Week 4: June 26th - July 1st
• Week 5: OFF
• Week 6: July 10th - 15th
• Week 7: Jully 17th - 22nd
• Week 8: July 24th - 29th
• Week 9: July 31st - August 5th
• Week 10: August 7th - 12th

Junior Camp Counselor Qualifications:

• At least 16 years old
• 3 months experience working with Youth
• First Aid & CPR Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant
  • If First Aid & CPR Certification is not current, a recertification course will be held during camp training week
