LEVEL: Entry-level to Subject Matter Expert

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, FL, Washington, DC, and fully remote positions anticipated

TYPE: Consultant/Contract and Full Time Regular Employment

McCO specializes in supporting U.S. federal customers with internationally and thematically focused portfolios by designing and delivering bespoke professional training programs, effective capacity building programs, and by providing highly specialized advisory and analysis expertise to decision makers.


McCO issues this call for CVs for subject matter expert training instructors, technical instructional designers, training program managers, and administrative support specialists with expertise in a variety of fields for opportunities contingent upon anticipated contract awards.



DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
McCO seeks to broaden our bench of subject matter expert training instructors, instructional design technical experts, program management and training support staff for anticipated contract awards with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, USAID, and U.S. Department of Agriculture. Personnel with expertise/interest in the following fields are desired:

  • Security, Peacebuilding, and Diplomacy (including Area and Regional Studies);
  • Economic Growth and Trade;
  • Conservation, Climate, and Energy.


A mix of CONUS and OCONUS work is anticipated to be available in the following roles:

  • Program Managers
  • Instructional and Curriculum Designer
  • Course Coordinators/Lead Instructors
  • Mentors and Capacity Building Advisors
  • Training Support Specialists
  • Program Assistants, especially with experience coordinating travel according to FTR

Requirements

Required personnel shall have expertise in any of following areas:

  • Technical capability in instructional design, professional training, teaching
  • Regional and/or country-specific expertise in a particular country/region
  • Thematic expertise for training/capacity building on current priority topics, including but not limited to conflict prevention and peacebuilding, preventing and countering violent extremism, women/youth peace and security, stabilization, fragility, disinformation and propaganda, social movements, climate change, energy, rule of law, law enforcement, community policing, anti-terrorism, emergency management and preparedness, WMDs, China/Russia/US relations, international trade, export promotion, business matchmaking, sector-specific growth, SME growth, women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, tropical forestry, and wildlife conservation. Other thematic expertise welcome for submissions.
  • Functional expertise in critical management areas including but not limited to program and project management (PMP certification a plus), human resources, finance and accounting, acquisitions and procurement, contract management, grants management, administration, travel, and operations and facilities.
  • Local language capability is desirable.
