Creating a production plan that is achievable - purpose is to increase efficiency, improve customer service, decrease waste and lower costs. In fulfilling their job duties, planners contribute to the bottom line and corporate sustainability, while ensuring that the goods consumer’s wants are readily available.
Analyze and update: buy history to determine best method of procurement for the commodity; shortages to expedite according to work order start dates; and shortage report with daily/current comments on the delivery status of the component shortage.
Maintains production orders to ensure an accurate regeneration of the weekly/monthly material requirements plan
Run MRP reports to bring inventory in on-time and while watching Raw Material stock levels.
Work in cooperation with Supply Chain Planning team to provide material commitments to orders
Analyze potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume
Monitor material status on upcoming orders; flag and release orders as daily release schedule is defined
Tracks the production schedule and publishes schedule revisions. Performs capacity planning to ensure supply plan integrity.
Responsible for tracking his/her panel of suppliers for on time delivery performance, working closely with his/her manager and the Supplier Quality Engineer on corrective action with suppliers in line with the aim of achieving continuous supplier performance
Responsible for monitoring and managing global inventories, and forecasting sales and production levels to plan for materials needed. Track delivery performance and response time, as well as handle capacity planning
Assist Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Analyst regarding development of or changes to Planning or Scheduling processes
Provide input or analysis to management of WIP, Finished Goods, and Component inventory levels in accordance with Supply Chain Analyst
Maintains performance measurements related to planning, scheduling and inventory functions. This includes order accuracy.

- 4-year college degree and 2+ years of full material product line planning responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
- Elevated level of competency in using Microsoft Office products, including; Excel, Word and Power point
- Ability to multi Task and work in a fast-paced environment & have a Continuous Improvement Attitude.
- APICS certification or Green Belt preferable, Strong knowledge of SPS aspects
