Bussers / Runners / Hosts

What we’re looking for:

Locale is now seeking Bussers, Runners, and Hostess’ for immediate hire. Positions are perfect for college students and experienced industry workers alike. Employees are offered a competitive base salary plus tips. Ability to work weekends is Required.

Who We Are:

Locale is a modern style Italian restaurant located on Main Street in the heart of Patchogue Village.

Responsibilities:

Bussing

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Set tables with candles, napkins, linens and flowers
• Place tableware and condiments on tables
• Serve water and bread
• Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
• Provide special silverware sets to families with young children
• Clean and reset tables after guests leave
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas

Hosting

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Seating tables
• Managing guest reservations
• Manage guests via an OpenTable table management system
• Assisting with side work responsibilities

Food Running

• Preparing garnishes
• Expediting food tickets
• Running dishes to appropriate tables (and seat numbers)
• Assisting with side work responsibilities

Skills

• Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus
• Flexibility to work 2-4 shifts, especially weekends, evenings and holidays
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with OpenTable is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
