The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region.

Pool Busser Job Purpose:Provides servers and guests with a clean and stocked pool area

Pool Busser Job Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

• Ensures safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning table and chair surfaces, emptying ashtrays, replacing used tablecloths, plates, cups and utensils, sweeping floors, transporting bus carts to the dishwashing station, disposing of all trash, and resetting tables as needed. - 50%

• Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the pool area, rolling and placing clean towels in the towel bins, providing guests with clean towels, answering guest inquiries, promptly notifying the Manager of guest comments and/or complaints, and treating all guests in a friendly and courteous manner. - 25%

• Ensures work stations are stocked and clean by placing delivered water, food supplies, cups and condiments in the server stations in the kitchens, and cleaning coffee machines, soda machines, sinks, shelves and counters according to established procedures. - 15%

• Maintains a clean and orderly pool area by setting up and breaking down pool seating areas, stacking and unstacking pool chairs based on guest needs, picking up used towels and placing them in the appropriate area, and picking up garbage and other debris as needed. - 10%

Pool Busser Job Specifications:Education and Experience: Essential:

• Current Food Handler card

Desirable:

• Bussing experience
• Pool attendant experience
• Hospitality housekeeping experience
  

Skills and Knowledge: Essential:

• Ability to work effectively with team members and guests
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
• Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions
• Ability to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
• Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
• Ability to work in a smoking environment
• Ability to appear for work on time
