Business Tax Accountant

We are seeking a Business Tax Accountant with 3 plus years’ experience to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assisting the tax department with accurate and timely tax services. This position, has significant growth potential, requires strong technical ability combined with good interpersonal communication skills to deliver quality service for our clients. Experience assisting businesses with tax and consulting matters or government Contracting experience is a plus. CPA or Active pursuit a plus.

The position would be based in- office at our Gaithersburg, Leesburg or Frederick office locations, or could be a hybrid blend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Business tax returns (S Corp, C Corp, Partnership, or Sole Proprietorship)
• Assist tax team with tax and financial planning for individuals and businesses
• Assist tax team with communications to clients regarding tax matters
• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate work papers for tax engagements

• At least 3+ years of public accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
• Understanding of business tax and related knowledge
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Detail oriented

• Strong analytical skills
• Creative problem solving and research skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in leading projects to completion
