Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst I in Enterprise Application Services of the Office of Information Technology.
The Business Systems Analyst of Enterprise Application Services is primarily responsible providing technical support for Oracle ERP Cloud system. The Business Systems Analyst will report to the Senior Business Manager of the Administrative Systems and is expected to provide technical support to various units/departments who own the business processes of the system. The position is responsible for the testing, monitoring, updates, and end-user support of all automated and manual processes of the systems supported by the team. The position will also be responsible for reconciliation of all the inbound data interfaced into the Oracle ERP Cloud (GL, Project Costs, Project Billing etc.), resolving systems issues and reconciling the GL & Projects. The Business Analyst will also act as a liaison between the interface partners and Business Process Owners, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Reviews all internal and external data feeds into Oracle ERPCloud system for accurate data flow between modules. Reconciles and validates the data fed into the system, identify/isolate the differences and works with the integration partners to address differences by either providing the list of transactions to be created and/or steps to correct the error/rejects. Generates daily tracker for offsets and suspense transactions and communicates with integration partners/functional teams to get those transactions fixed so that the balance in these accounts are zero.
- Performs testing of functionalities(such as journals, project cost, project billing events, budgets and project master data), issues fixes and enhancements in the system when it undergoes updates/patching. Identifies and documents work around solutions. Logs service request/ticket with the software provider or for the technical team to improve efficiencies and/or for addressing issue/bug identified.
- Schedules jobs and interfaces using Oracle Enterprise Scheduling Service (ESS) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) scheduler as per the requirements and monitors the scheduled jobs for success/warning/failure on daily basis and take necessary action to address warnings/failures.
- Supports interface partners on how to reclassify suspense items and data setup for interface resubmission.
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in technology and considers how they may be used to solve challenges in our department. Also, consults with other senior staff members regarding the implementation and use of the various technologies available within the department.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a business systems analyst role in an IT organization supporting Oracle ERP Cloud.
- Experience working with the various modules of Oracle ERP Cloud including, but not limited to General Ledger, Project Costing, Project Billing, Expenses, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Procurement, Awards, and Account Receivable.

- Knowledge of Oracle File Based Data Imports (FBDI) – specifically on FBDI templates for Project Costs, Project Billing Events, GL Journals.
