The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

Our Product Strategy & Delivery Change Implementation team facilitates platform and cross functional changes across Home Lending. The Change Implementation Team is looking for Business Support Consultants to support and lead implementation efforts across mortgage servicing.

The Business Support Consultant 3 will:

  • Align with project teams/scrum teams to provide consultative support and influential leadership toward successful change management planning including solution preparation, delivery to the field, and measurement of initiatives that are complex and strategic in nature.
  • Evaluate current business environment to determine the most effective strategy to prepare mortgage leadership and customer-facing team members for monthly/recurring business changes.
  • Define, plan, write and manage review coordination of appropriate change-related materials ( Procedures, training, communications, job aids, videos, etc.) needed to support the implementation strategy/plan, determines appropriate timing and delivery method for the materials.
  • Identify and lead necessary meetings to gather information and details to build a successful implementation and adoption strategy and create successful change-support materials.
  • Transfer knowledge and information to appropriate audiences in order for change-related materials to be delivered to impacted audiences.
  • Effectively facilitate change material to end user.
  • Ability to engage large audiences virtually
  • Provide matrix leadership to cross-functional teams to accomplish project tasks and goals
  • Ability to learn and absorb varying lines of business process

Other Responsibilities:

  • Creates executive and senior leadership communications, talking points, presentations
  • Presents training and communication solutions to senior management
  • Provides guidance and expertise to less experienced staff
  • Guiding oneself effectively; executing with little or no supervision.
  • May also be responsible for miscellaneous business administrative initiatives

Location preference is West Des Moines, IA; Charlotte, NC; Fort Mill, SC; San Antonio, TX; Chandler/Phoenix, AZ; or Minneapolis, MN. Other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered.

Salary offered dependent on location.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

Required Qualifications


  • 6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Change management experience working with scrum/agile teams, either as a direct scrum team member, or extended team member
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mortgage Servicing: Customer Account Management, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Property Preservation

Job Expectations


  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
