Facebook is seeking a Manager to join the North America Business Planning and Operations team (BP&O). The mission of the Global Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective and trusted partner to the sales organization – through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We also identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth. This role will lead a team of two to provide revenue insights for sales leadership with ongoing operational rhythm as well as establish analytical modeling and tooling solutions in close partnership with global teams, and/or lead NA planning process to ensure clear strategic priorities, go-to-market service model, adequate resourcing and execution accountability across NA Sales teams. You will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, intellectually curious, a fast learner, analytical and data-driven, process and structure oriented, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, able to focus on the details while thinking strategically, while investing in coaching and developing talents on the team.
  • People management: Build a high-performing team and coach a team of analysts and program manager to deliver business performance insights and leverage analytics to drive business priorities that are highly visible to sales executives on ongoing basis
  • Stakeholder and partner relationship: Serve as a go-to trusted business partner for sales executives, develop strong collaborative relationships across North America and Global BP&O teams to drive analytical and/or planning initiatives
  • Business insights: Use data-driven approach to generate analytical insights across market, industry, and advertiser performance, including leading performance indicators, product adoption, tentpole events, sales productivity and efficiency, forecasting accuracy and so on, which inform executives and management of revenue upside opportunity and risks as well as strategic priorities progress to take proactive actions on
  • Operational optimization: Design, optimize and execute on standard cadence of operations to deliver revenue insights (e.g., weekly reporting, monthly and quarterly business review) with operational efficiency and strong control
  • Modeling and tooling efficiency: Establish a system of analytical tools (e.g., excel models, dashboards) and off-the-shelf data resources by influencing and leveraging global infrastructure where available and streamlining North America team’s analytical infrastructure
  • Project management: Initiate and support analytics, tooling and planning projects at regional or global level
  • Strategic planning: Design and flawlessly execute on annual planning process in partnership with key cross-functional partners, drive thoughtful strategy and resource budgeting plans (e.g., headcount) across teams

  • BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business or related field)
  • 8+ years of work experience involving analytical rigor as typically seen in, but not restricted to, functions like finance, business operations, data analytics, etc. or industries like consulting, banking, etc.
  • Program Management and Operations experience working independently, managing multiple concurrent processes and projects, and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Problem solving and analysis experience solving business problems (commercial, operational, organizational) using large database and qualitative information from various sources
  • Experience presenting business and technical content to senior stakeholders, peers and general audiences
  • Communication experience with story-telling and presentations utilizing tools such as PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Experienced in using Excel spreadsheets for running data analysis and building quantitative models with complexity for business decision making. Experience with, as typically seen in, but not restricted to, pivot table based reporting, using charts for visualization and use of lookup and math functions
  • Experience building and managing relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
