Description
PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution with more than $7 billion in assets, is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to drive change and operational effectiveness throughout Credit Services. Supports Credit Services operations through the use of business analysis, project management, and financial analysis. Monitor real estate activities related to the sale and delivery of 1st mortgages to the Secondary Market. Analyze secondary market pricing and conditions to ensure mortgages are sold in a cost-effective manner.

Schedule: Monday-Friday – 8:00am-4:00pm. This is a hybrid schedule working remotely with minimum onsite expectation of 20%, or as needed.
Salary Range: $63,781-$79,726 Commensurate with experience

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

- Analyzes secondary market conditions and trends for pricing of first-mortgages on a daily basis. Ensures rates meet the ongoing business needs of PSECU and fits within our overall pricing strategy. Perform duties associated with selling mortgage loans to the secondary market: Pricing, committing, packaging and delivery. Ensures packages are compliant and post-closings are done in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for the coordination of web pages and system requirements for all new and existing lending systems. Responsible for testing and training associated with Credit Services Systems.
- Compare Credit Services data and processes with industry standards and best practices for operational effectiveness throughout Credit Services. Disseminate information to operational managers to coach and inspire change throughout Credit Services.
- Works with internal and external customers and IT to partner, develop, and analyze business intelligence needs. Provides input to business requirements for the design of solutions. Designs department-wide views and custom reports. May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
- Perform quality assurance of departmental work product to ensure adherence to PSECU and Credit Services policy and procedures by Member Service Representatives and systems. Work with operational managers to document and eliminate any deficiencies found during the quality assurance process. Work with operational managers to correct issues from occurring in an ongoing basis.
- Apply statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling to analyze current procedures and processes within Credit Services. Utilize analysis to affect changes positive for employees and membership to products, processes, and interactions.
- Derive feedback and insights from members through interactions, feedback loops, and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle. Analyze market trends and perform competitor analysis and research in order to drive product strategy as well as pricing and roadmap. Drive consumer intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources that improve the business’s understanding of the product’s market, competitor activities, and consumer activities.
- Acts a departmental liaison for the Finance and IT departments. Helps the Finance department formulate all reports and calculations regarding FASB regulations, along with ad hoc reports for the Board and financial reconciliation.
- Develops and manages communication strategies for each operational unit including all member correspondence, automated communication strategies utilized through 3rd part vendors, etc. Analyzes methods to increase clarity and timeliness of communications with members to increase operational efficiency and increase member satisfaction.
- Collects, analyzes and organizes data required by Credit Services for project coordination, management or operational enhancements, and special ad hoc tasks. Analyzes operations and problems, prepares comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations, and assists in implementing procedural or policy changes.
- Primary point-of-contact for all interactions with Internal Audit and external examiners for operational units. Acts as subject matter expert to provide necessary data, procedures, and perspective. Understands all regulatory requirements surrounding each operational unit.
- Collaborate with operational managers from Credit Services on workflow automation, and employee productivity monitoring. Develop dashboards to allow for increased operational efficiency monitoring among all levels of Management within Credit Services. Work with departmental management to normalize and enforce productivity standards across all levels of employees.
- Financial validation and tracking actual performance against budgets and forecasts for operational units. Drive methods to decrease costs for Credit Services through operational efficiencies and effective contract negotiations.
- Supports PSECU and acts as liaison with members, outside vendors, governmental agencies, closing agents, and Realtors to facilitate growth of accounts and loans for PSECU.
- Ability to identify internal control deficiencies, assesses their impact on operations, and develops the steps necessary to correct them.
- Effectively carry out instructions of superiors. Act on suggestions and feedback from superiors. Accurately complete all assignments within the agreed upon deadline.
- Maintain and enforce confidentiality in matters pertaining to personal affairs of members and employees, to include account information. Conduct confrontational discussions in a private location.

- Effectively mine for data and inefficiencies and design process enhancements to optimize operations. Displays ability to analyze existing Credit Services product offering, pricing, and incentive structures and develop recommendations to increase market share of products.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or Mathematics,
And four years’ experience in varied Project Management or Operations Management,
And two years’ experience in data analysis and development of recommendations for solutions,
Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
Proficient with Business Intelligence software, workforce management software and SQL.
