Prescott HouseBusiness Office ManagerJob DescriptionPrescott House, a skilled nursing facility in North Andover, MA, is currently seeking a full-time candidate for the Business Office Manager position. This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility.
Duties include:
- Sets up and maintains financial files for resident billing, admission papers, State and Medicare documents
- Works all aspects of the Medicaid Application process
- Responsible for Private Pay and Patient Liability billing
- Pursues and documents the collection efforts on all past due accounts for assigned payors
- Posts all cash receipts for Private Pay, Patient Liability and misc items
- Distributes and audits Petty Cash
- Manages Patient/Resident Trust Fund
- Attends Medicare and Managed Care Meetings, responsible for relaying information to the CBO biller
- Assists the CBO with all documentation necessary to bill patient accounts
- Scan all checks received by the facility
- Completes Rep Payee forms
- Manages the Receptionist and Weekend Receptionist positions
- Opens and distributes mail
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- 3-5 years’ experience managing the business office of a healthcare facility (SNF preferred)
- Preferred experience with Point Click Care Software
- Candidates must be detail oriented with excellent computer skills
