Job Description

The Business Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of all financial elements of the organization, staff management and development, administrational support and services that contribute to achieving the business goals and the effective management of the company.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage customer and vendor accounts
  • Receive and process payments, make bank deposits as required
  • Generate reports to assure accuracy in billings customer billings for slip, storage, and service work
  • Review system, account balances, revenue deferrals, and contract setup
  • Lead general office duties such as processing vendor invoices, answering phones, processing incoming mail, filing, data entry, and ordering office supplies
  • Ensure marina staff, especially customer service representatives, observe best practices when interfacing with customers, develop processes to ensure customer inquiries, and properly addressed
  • Encourage team members to maximize their abilities and build a healthy company culture
  • Provide facility tours when requested
  • Assist in the interview and hiring process of new employees as needed
  • Provide administrative assistant duties to the General Manager as needed
  • Available to work overtime when required
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2 years’ relevant experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
