Responsibilities
- Manages a Food Service Program within a business activity. Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures. Plans and manages all phases of food service program where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the food operation.
- Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities and revenue improvements.
- Develops operating budget and data, identifying labor, equipment, and supply costs.
- Participates in the selection of employees, directs on-the-job-training of new employees, makes duty assignments consistent with operational requirements.
- Prepares/supervises the preparation of menus involving both standard and new cooking methods. Represents the activity to the public.

Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
- The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain certifications (i.e., ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program within first six months of employment.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13 j., f. and i. to include a National Agency Check (NACI), a health assessment may also be required.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must be able to work irregular hours of duty, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

3. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level.
4. Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of appointment. EducationProof of education/certifications must be uploaded at the time of application.
