About the Business Intelligence Reporting Developer Position:

The Business Intelligence Reporting Developer will partner with key business leaders and analysts within the organization to design and deploy enterprise-wide business intelligence (BI) solutions that empower various business teams with actionable information which will result in improved business performance. This position will report to the Manager, Data Intelligence.

Preferred location is Tampa, Florida. Open to remote. This is a full-time, W-2 position. At this time, we can consider only local candidates authorized to work in the US. No sponsorship is available. No recruiter calls, please.

Business Intelligence Reporting Developer - Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company and industry compliance, regulatory, and best practice standards
• Write T-SQL queries for ad-hoc and reporting needs
• Assist with Microsoft SQL Server database maintenance: create/alter tables, views, stored procedures, agent jobs
• Manage/execute/enhance existing reports and build/prototype new ones in Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
• Work with business leaders, analysts, and end users to gather requirements for new work
• Create and maintain documentation for data warehouse, data store and departmental processes
• Manage/execute/enhance existing ETL processes and build new ones in Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS)
• Perform data analysis as assigned
• Assist analysts with SQL queries
• Convert ad-hoc queries and processes to meet standards for production deployment
• Apply data warehouse (DW) and business intelligence expertise to produce actionable business information
• Participate in designing a robust BI infrastructure using the Microsoft suite of products to deliver data, reports, and ad-hoc reporting capabilities to business users
• Configure BI tools to meet business requirements
• Assist with enhancing the data warehouse and tabular cube schemas
• Prototype BI solutions to validate requirements and data quality profiles
• Design, develop and deploy BI solutions, including data integration solutions, role based KPI’s, scorecards, dashboards and reports

Business Intelligence Reporting Developer - Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years in similar role
• Strong SQL skills: ability to code complex SQL queries and tune for best performance; create and maintain stored procedures & functions; create and maintain database objects
• Analytical and interpretation skills, ability to review data and gain insight
• Decision-making skills with the ability to investigate and weigh alternatives and select the course of action that provides the greatest benefit to the organization
• Creative thinking skills with the ability to ask the needed bigger-picture questions that lead to process improvements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and participate as an independent contributor with little supervision or as an active team member depending on the situation and needs
• Must have a track record of producing work that is highly accurate, demonstrates attention to detail, and reflects well on the organization
• Solid communication skills and a strong work ethic

Business Intelligence Reporting Developer - Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience with SSAS
• Relational and dimensional data modeling experience
• Ability to create and read ERDs
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus
