Position Description:

This is a Business Intelligence (BI) DevOps Software Engineer role, working in a team of 3 or more people consisting of onshore/offshore team members. Coordinate the processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Monitors environment health and the facilitation of high severity incidents to quickly restore service. Continuous focus to improve the state of service availability and continuity, including improving automated and manual monitoring. Coordinates the efforts of all functions to complete scheduled jobs in a timely manner. Documents, analyzes, and coordinates resolution for all system problems and takes corrective action as required. Interfaces with other departments as required. Supports adhoc-user requests related to access, report functionality and data content. This position calls for designing, some coding, debugging, extensive testing, and documenting enhancements to the relevant applications. In addition, the position requires providing effective and responsive DevOps support to our mission-critical and time-sensitive applications with ~50% off-hours and weekend on call responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical, DevOps support team
  • Manages communications with business, application partners, external teams, and internal team
  • DevOps Support is primary responsibility, including monitoring, tracking, handling escalations, performance tuning
  • Triage and resolve business issues (tickets) from service desk
  • Resolve tickets within established time frame
  • On Call -24 X 7 365 Day support on a rotation basis

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED OR 2+ years Software Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of IT experience in administration or development on Business Intelligence platforms
  • 3+ years of IT experience writing and analyzing SQL and related activity on relational Database applications
  • 3+ years of IT experience performing on-call DevOps Support working with offshore teams
  • Ability to be on call on a rotation basis
  • 2+ years of IT experience performing Cognos or PowerBI or Tableau Platform Administration

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
