Business Intelligence Developer

Position Summary : This position is responsible for working with key business users and customers to understand reporting needs and develop effective dashboards and reporting solutions with a variety of reporting tool sets (Excel/SSRS/Power BI/Business Objects/QLIK etc.).
Must possess strong communication skills and be able to form effective partnerships with internal and external customers to understand their business goals in order to generate solutions. Work with other members of the IT team and technical partners to ensure reliable data extractions and any new data requirements. Must enjoy working a rewarding fast paced environment!Major Duties & Responsibilities :

• Use Excel/SSRS/Power BI/Business Objects or any other reporting tool to develop dashboards and reports for internal and external customers.
• Strong understanding of data relationships and functional activities in core business systems (SAP) with ability to perform data queries (SQL) and ETL processes
• Follow company standard SDLC practices to ensure accurate, enterprise level and well documented solutions.
• Clearly define project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Must effectively manage time in order to meet delivery commitments.
• Ability to conduct BI tool training to both internal and external end users.
• Clearly capture business reporting requirements and work with other members of the team to determine any data extraction or ETL needs.
• Work with users to perform UAT before deploying to production to ensure solutions meet or exceed documented specifications.

Required Education :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Required Skills & Experience :

• Minimum 2-3 years in hands on data reporting using Microsoft toolset or equivalent tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.
• Minimum 1 year direct experience with developing solutions with Power BI
• Experience in relational and dimensional data modeling required
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills needed along with creative problem solving skills
• Committed, accessible, problem-solver, able to attend to detail, ability to follow through, resourceful, self-assured, self-motivated, possesses a sense of urgency, able to communicate and demonstrate action consistent with the company mission and objectives
