This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

The SAP BW/BI Analytics developer will focusing on front-end Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop, Enhance, and Maintain Analytics (50%)

  • Work collaboratively with the Business to define and document requirements
  • Design, develop, test and deploy analytics, visualization, dashboards and reports using:
  • Tableau / Tableau Prep
  • SAP Analysis for Office Excel
  • SAP Web Intelligence (WebI)
  • Communicate and deploy changes in the production environment
  • Document solution
  • Provide expertise and advice on analytics solutions and designs
  • Investigate issues and provide timely solutions
  • Maintain a solid understanding of our Analytics tools and data sources

Promote Analytics Best Practices (20%)

  • Support the identification and tracking of business benefits and value realized through the application of BI&A tools and techniques
  • Define and deploy standards and best practices for dashboards and visualization development; and the publishing of those analytics
  • Support, consult with, and mentor Analysts on data sources, SQL, ETL, reports, dashboard, and visualization
  • Promote data literacy and a data driven decision culture
  • Identify and connect Business Analysts working on similar projects
  • Create or identify training material to develop Business Analysts

Maintain Analytics Infrastructure (10%)

  • Administer the Analytics Portal
  • Administer Tableau Server
  • Administer the Analytics Wiki
  • Support software implementations and system upgrades, and coordinate system validations

Grow the BI&A Community (10%)

  • Contribute to the BI Community of Practice
  • Host and grow a Tableau Developers user group
  • Develop and launch an Analyst Certification program
  • Identify new opportunities to apply BI&A tools and techniques

Enhance the Future of BI&A (10%)

  • Improve organizational Analytics Maturity
  • Maintain an understanding of industry tools, techniques, and trends
  • Participate in software evaluations and proofs of concept
  • Contribute to BI&A Strategy, Roadmap, and Budget development

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience developing Corporate Reporting and Analytics in a Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years' experience with visualization tools like Tableau (preferred), Power BI, or Cognos
  • 3+ years' experience with reporting tools like using SAP Web Intelligence (WebI), SAP Analysis for Office
  • 2+ years' experience with SQL and ETL tools
  • Bachelor's Degree in: Business, Information Technology, Mathematics; other discipline with minor in: statistics, quantitative methods, or data science; or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Naturally curious with a love of learning, and demonstrated application of new learning
  • Must know when and where to use appropriate data; recognize when data is misleading, misrepresented or incomplete; effectively create, read and interpret charts, and graphs; use critical thinking skills when analyzing data; and employ “data storytelling” techniques when talking with people who lack data literacy skills.
  • Experience working with MS Office including advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and personal organization skills
  • Understanding of current Analytics tools, techniques, and trends

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
