The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Role focused on sustainability/energy/water/waste/GHG performance data, reporting, visualization and issue resolution including support for external facing annual ESG/CDP reporting. Support renewable energy contract administration and asset actual vs. modeled performance reporting. Directly support Corporate Properties Group (CPG) as line of business SME for WF climate implementation initiative, interfacing with DMI team to maximize the benefits of WF data lake/analytics/insights.

Collaborate with CPG functional groups and strategic partners, to support sustainability strategies and action plans through detailed collection and analysis of program data. Provide advice and counsel to Sustainability Strategy Team on emerging data trends and best practices related to sustainability. Responsible to collect key data and build metrics that support operational goals. Works with key stakeholders to develop and implement data strategies in support of sustainability goals, actively tracking and monitoring results to help drive fact-based decisions across the enterprise.

Role requires both tactical execution of data processes as well as ability to visualize key metrics in meaningful dashboards and reports in a clear and concise way. Advanced understanding of data relationships, sustainability metrics and data validation process is a key deliverable of this role.


Required Qualifications


  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated work experience in the area of environmental sustainability.
  • Prefer data visualization skills with emphasis on sustainability.
  • Proven data management skills including working with multiple teams and vendors, developing strong data process/accountability, creating/sustaining partnerships and focusing on results.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Teams, SQL, Python and Tableau.
  • Team player with excellent communications and collaborating skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in area of data or finance data with exposure and interest in sustainability.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large and complex data sets, identify trends and anomalies and present findings to leadership clearly and concisely.
