THE POSITION:
The Business Excellence Engineer will provide analysis, oversight and implementation of business process metrics and data record keeping which is critical to the proper and efficient support of Turbine and generator units serviced by Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. This role will support OEM Service Operations analysis including the development and maintaining of a system and process to capture, store, and report key operational data for OEM Service Operations. The successful hire will implement process improvements through the application of a variety of analysis and improvement methods including Six Sigma, statistics and continuous performance improvements.

The Business Excellence Engineer will provide analysis, oversight and implementation of business process metrics and data record keeping which is critical to the proper and efficient support of Turbine and generator units serviced by Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. This role will support OEM Service Operations analysis including the development and maintaining of a system and process to capture, store, and report key operational data for OEM Service Operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the documentation of business processes, including flow charts, Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions.
- Coordinate efforts to train personnel in business processes to drive clear divisions of responsibility and clear standard methodologies in processing OEM Service Operations quote requests and contract/order execution.
- Lead efforts to identify, modify and implement information system tools that enhance the quality and/or productivity of OEM Service Operations processes.
- Support the monitoring and reporting Service Operation business results & quality metrics.
- Recommend process improvements based on data analysis findings.
- Lead process improvement initiatives as directed.
- Support manager and other data users on identifying and establishing metrics reporting package.
- Develop strategies to user current and new systems to capture and store operational effectiveness data.
- Analyze and report business relevant data.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources;
- Support ISO 9001 compliance and initiatives;
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals;
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit.

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related field, and at least one (1) year related experience and/or training.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial statements, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve under supervision practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where data exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: medium to advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, data manipulation, analysis software.
