TITLE & CLASSIFICATION

Business Development & Marketing Specialist

PT/approx. 20 hrs. per week, 1st shift, weekdays

SUMMARY: Working in collaboration with agency leaders and the ADS program director, the Business Development & Marketing Specialist will develop and implement an appropriate business recruitment and marketing plan for Adult Day Services that aligns with its capacity goals and staffing level. The plan should include efforts to raise awareness in the community while also developing relationships with current and new referral partners, and creating a pipeline of future clients.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain and maintain a basic understanding of the mission and operations of Adult Day Services in order to devise an appropriate business development and marketing plan that raises awareness, helps meet participant targets and creates a pipeline for the future.
  • Formulate, direct, coordinate and provide marketing activities and strategies to promote services offered through Adult Day Services based on strategic goals and objectives.
  • Give campus tours to prospective program participants and their families, as well as referral partners.
  • Identify and cultivate new referral partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners and other appropriate community organizations.
  • Track contacts, referrals and enrollment.
  • Represent Adult Day Services at appropriate in-person and virtual events in the community.
  • As a member of marketing and communications team, assist with creating content for Adult Day Services that can be distributed through a variety of channels, including recruitment literature, website, e-marketing, social channels, printed collateral, local publications, advertising and more.
  • Maintain contact with target audiences by generating periodic newsletters and email campaigns, and other outreach activities.
  • Recommend branded giveaway items to purchase.
  • Recommend partnerships for marketing campaigns and advertising.
  • Perform other related assigned duties, as assigned.



EDUCATION: High school diploma required; college degree in marketing, business, social services or other related fields preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of professional experience in marketing client-centered services to families and referral partners.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proven self-starter driven to meet goals, while listening to understand the unique needs of prospective program participants, their families and members of their care team. Able to simplify complex concepts to develop and share key messages. Excellent interpersonal communications skills and demonstrated ability to make positive connections with adults of all ages by showing empathy and compassion. Excellent writing and public speaking skills. Requires experience using a computer to manage contacts, schedule and more with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products.
