JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Intern
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the CEO, the Business Development Intern is responsible for marketing career development products or services to other companies, schools, or organizations that resell them, use them in their products or services or use them to support their works.
Work Activities
The work activities of the Business Development Intern are divided into two main functional areas:
Communications
- Contacts schools, non-profits, and organizations to pitch products and services
- Drafts emails and monthly newsletter
- Post content to social media
Clerical Activities
- Scheduling meetings, events, speaking engagements, workshops, etc.
- Reporting sales
- Creating invoices
- Prepares, types, and files correspondence
- Maintain customer database and reports pipeline status
- Mailing deliverables to potential clients
- Other duties as necessary

Job Context
The Business Development Intern spends the majority of time researching and contacting companies, non-profits, and organizations that target young adults ages 15-24 for work development services. The workday is spent in a variety of settings, including Zoom visits to businesses. Hours are flexible.
Work Performance
The Business Development Intern is evaluated by a formal appraisal process and will receive feedback from the CEO on areas of improvement. There will also be an opportunity for the student to share feedback about their learning experience with the CEO of AP, Lifestyle & Consulting.

Compensation Information
Negotiable Stipend, for credit/experience
Job Competencies
Upon Hire, the Business Development Intern must:
- Be enrolled in a technical or degree program
- Taking relevant business and marketing courses to support internship experiences
- Be coachable and
- Possess a proactive work ethic
Upon end of internship, the Business Development Intern should be able to:
- Create content for marketing campaigns
- Participate in business strategy in an entry level position
- Project a professional presence for future employers
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends
