This position can be located in any of Jackson Lewis’ offices and reports to the Director of Business Development.
Job Summary (basic description)
We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated drive, dedication, professionalism and a positive attitude to join a team who has undergone significant growth amid ongoing development of sophisticated strategic initiatives. The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is responsible for supporting and assisting in the firm’s business development initiatives for our industry and practice groups. This position will work closely with the Business Development Managers (BDMs), the Director of Business Development and with the broader Marketing and Business Development team to ensure proactive client development and marketing.
Essential Functions
· Provide support to the BD Managers, Director of Business Development and CMO in developing and implementing the firm’s industry and practice group’s strategic plans and projects, including the tracking and follow-up of specific efforts.
· Participate in practice and industry group meetings and assist in executing and reporting on business development goals, action items and ROI, as needed.
· Assist in the research and identification of clients and prospects who should be targeted for new business opportunities including:
o Research on industry trends and issues that may impact upon clients’ and prospects’ businesses and recommend actions to capitalize on them.
· Help prepare client-focused and customized presentation materials for attorneys in advance of pitches, programs, and other business development opportunities.
· Assist BD and Events Managers in supporting the business development outreach for client facing events.
· Develop and maintain practice and industry group matter lists, mailing lists, contact lists, and client profiles using the firm's systems and software, including InterAction.
· Assist in the creation of editorial calendars and support structure for practice and industry group thought leadership.
· Help field and assist with general marketing information requests from attorneys and staff as needed.
· Support the attorney bio function including updating the web bios as part of the WebUpdate team.
Qualifications/Skills Required
· Strong attention to detail; a client-service, can-do attitude;
· Willingness and maturity to own assigned tasks and projects;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong editing and proofreading skills;
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills;
· Ability to work well under pressure and complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner;
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required;
· Ability to learn, manage and work proficiently with advanced data management and marketing software such as InterAction, Business Edge, Vuture, and presentation software; and
· Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work; has a sense of humor.
Educational Requirements
At least five years of business development and/or marketing related experience in a law firm or other professional service.

Pay: $65,649.65 - $80,436.04 per year
